Linus Larrabee and Davis are the two sons of a very wealthy family. Linus is all work - busy running the family corporate empire, he has no time for a wife and family. David is all play - technically, he employs the family business, but never shows up for work, spends all his time entertaining, and has been married and divorced three times. Meanwhile Sabrina Fairchild is the young, shy, clumsy and daughter of the budget chauffeur, was infatuated with David all her life, but David hardly notices her - "does not even know that I exist" - until she goes away to Paris for two years and is an elegant, sophisticated, beautiful woman. Suddenly she finds that she has captured attention of David, just as it does, it is falling in love with Linus, and she notes that Linus is also falling in love with her.

The master of many Genres, Billy Wilder, has his magic with this charming comedy. Although perhaps not one of his best, he is still, after nearly 50 years.
There has been much said about the casting of Bogart as Linus, the stickige businessman and I do not agree with most of them. I think that Bogart is perfect for the part of the seemingly humourless, financial wizard older brother. Admittedly, he is not the best actor .... never been ..... he is a generation older than Audrey Hepburn ..... and reportedly hated the film and his co-stars. Everything, except that he rose to the occasion and his playing of the role is subtle. Seeing him come to the realization that he falling in love with Sabrina is so well done that it creeps on you.
Audrey Hepburn is simply magical, as it always has been ..... there is nothing more to say about their words .... not me.
William Holden is surprisingly good in a comic role, but why the blond hair? He is windy, unreliable and thoroughly sympathetic, and it is obvious that Sabrina is much too good for him. However paradoxical it may be, it belongs with Bogart.
support in this film is top notch ..... John Williams .... what a great British character, Walter Hampden is a scream, such as drinking - cigar smoke, the father will only olive oil for his Martini. Looking for Nancy Kulp as one of the service employees on their day as Jane Hathaway in Beverly Hillbillys.
This is a wonderful film ........ watch it, you will not regret it!
