This film had so much potential that I really wanted to jump into my TV and start grave Bing necks a la Homer Simpson. Frustration grew in me as jokes were thrown to the viewing platform audience with such a disappointment that it had to laugh the film too much credit. The characters were flat, the story was "normal chaos that has been done in almost every other film, and television broadcast to the category of Fat Albert has been reduced by cheap thrills and over-budgeting. Did Bill Cosby have a true writing credit for this movie? It would be difficult for me to believe that he seriously considered this work great, but then again, he is older and has bills to pay� so, why not? To say that this film was terrible would be too kind a word, a word of a line from the film "(Fat Albert) such as school on Saturday: no class" would again probably be him too much credit. From the opening credit sequence to the overly animated cartoons to the lack of animation in the sign when it was real difficult to observe. Kenan Thompson tried really hard to empower the soul of Fat Albert, but what comes through the screen are just pathetic. He has no backbone and literally, he gives this image of Albert ignorance. Instead, they are helpful friend, Thompson's Albert has these huge glazed eyes roll that whenever such problems begin. He has not only seem to have that PIZAZZ that I remember, Albert from the TV programs. When Albert was a leader in the animated film, he was not in this film. Unless you count the fact that the other actors in this film followed his suit by leaving their energy at home. Kindisch humor coupled with this sense of apathy really do not spark this film at the level it should have been. I kept eyes see this really funny story about Fat Albert in the real world, but I was forced to by another Cool World. That is how I would best describe this film, Cool World for children.
our characters not clear concern for their careers, we are then forced to focus on the non-existent history, apparently the authors of this film chose not to write. Instead of creating a plot of land with some climactic moments, our authors of this film chose to let Fat Albert hike until something funny happened. I have to ask whether it is an actual movie or just scripted Thompson and improve Zwick can occur anywhere, anytime. Well, if you work with a genuine comic actor this could have worked (such as Robin Williams and Will Ferrell), but with Thompson just felt forced. Almost every scene felt forced or overloaded in this film. Spontaneity was not an element that these writers. This ultimately caused the jokes to extremely flat. The humour is not just about the real life of Albert onto the screen. This is where I question the validity of Cosby, with this production. I know that he was paid, but how much did it work? The jokes felt so old and used, that I am surprised that children responded to them. Perhaps it was the urban feeling that Albert somehow felt comfortable in� knows? Whatever the case, the loose history of unfizzy jokes, which ultimately lead to the demise of the image.
Finally, I would say that Fat Albert (when I was growing up) was an inspiration and "every man" for all of us. The group followed him and his actions somehow always felt like a part of us. It was not all that could stop Fat Albert help from another lost soul, and somehow in this film adaptation, none of these old feels be recalled. It was not as if they tried, but this was definitely not the same Fat Albert, that I grew up. He has not reach me, as he used to, and perhaps it was the larger budget or the lack of imagination, but Albert hurt the soul in this film. I am surprised that he was able to help in their problem Doris (this obscure problem was that never quite defined), because if I in their shoes, I would have politely kicked this Albert to control. Cosby needed to once again its options before they Albert to see the light of day.
Overall, as if you could not tell already, this movie hurt me. As I saw this picture dizzy, I could not help but wonder whether this film concentrates was correct. As for the first time I had this feeling that Albert would be called Doris help with their problem, it was a secondary character (like their own Jiminie Cricket), but rather what has happened is that Thompson's camera Excitement stole away the performance by Doris When creating a film about Albert. This should not have been the case for this to be a truly inspiring film. We lost the focus of the film, and then the story was only focus. Too many hands in the honey pot with one hand want to be at the top. It was sad, and ultimately destroy this film.
