In October 1962, U-2 surveillance photos show that the Soviet Union in the process of placing nuclear weapons in Cuba. These weapons have the ability to wipe out most of the eastern and southern United States in just a few minutes, when they are active. President John F. Kennedy and his advisers have to deal with an action plan against the Soviets. Kennedy is determined to show that he is strong enough to face the threat, and the Pentagon advises U.S. military strikes against Cuba that could lead the way to another U.S. invasion of the island. However, Kennedy is reluctant to follow through because a U.S. invasion could lead to the Soviets to beat in Europe. A nuclear showdown seems to be almost inevitable. Can it be prevented?

This film is a tribute to hotheadedness above ground, on peace and war. We should not forget the lessons that time, to mediate, and if this is a way to remember, then everyone should see it.
